Kolkata: TCS trainee killed in midnight car crash

Kolkata, Oct 26 (IBNS): A 22-year-old newly appointed employee of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Sayoni Mukherjee was killed in a road mishap in the wee hours of Tuesday, reports said.

According to reports, while returning home from office, a speeding truck smashed into her office's drop-cab at Gauribari Crossing under Ultadanga Police Station limits in north part of the city.

Sayoni, her colleague Sneha Saw, office's security guard and cab's driver were seriously injured in the accident and rushed to a nearby hospital, where Sayoni died few hours later.

Police have started investigation into the matter and are examining CCTV footage to identify the killer truck.

After completing her graduation from South Calcutta Girls' College, Sayoni joined TCS as a process associate trainee last month.
