Kupwara, Oct 6 (IBNS): Militants attacked an army camp in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, reports said.

According to media reports, two militants have been killed.

"At around 5 am, militants opened fire on an army camp at Langate in Kupwara district, which was retaliated by the alert soldiers ," an Army official said.

The incident occurred just days after India witnessed a major militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri town on Sept 18 which left 19 soldiers martyred.

India has also launched a campaign against Pakistan at the United Nations' platforms for aiding and abetting terrorism.
