Lalu Prasad hospitalised, to undergo cardiac surgery

| | Aug 25, 2014, at 04:46 pm
Mumbai, Aug 25 (IBNS): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai for a scheduled medical check-up on Monday.

Hospital sources said the RJD chief was not well. He is likely to undergo heart valve replacement surgery at the Asian Heart Institute.

However, doctors, attending him at the hospital, said there is no need to “panic and no emergency”.

To avoid extensive road travel for his cardiac condition, Yadav had used a helicopter while campaigning for the by-elections in Bihar this month. Sources said he was due for valve replacement surgery a few days ago but had delayed his appointment.
