Left-Congress alliance will stay in future: Surya-Adhir confirm

A delegation of LF and Congress, led by Surya Kanta Mishra and Adhir Chowdhury, visited the Governor's place in the afternoon and submitted a memorandum complaining about alleged politically influenced post-poll violence in the state.

While coming out from Rajbhavan (Governor's place), both leaders told the media that Left-Congress alliance would continue and become stronger in future.

"We have made this alliance to establish a Left Democratic Secular government in Bengal. We couldn't make it. But it doesn't mean that need of the alliance ended. Our alliance will stay in future to fight together against ruling party's attacks," Surya Kanta Mishra said.

Meanwhile Adhir Chowdhury told the scribes, "In the state, Left and Congress supporters and activists want this alliance. So, it will stay in future and we will make in more powerful."

Both also said that their parties' leaders might not join Mamata government's oath ceremony.

However, following the deputation, Bengal's governor Keshari Nath Tripathi has sent a letter to the Chief Minister's office asking to take strict action to stop the post-poll violence in the state.
