LeT militant arrested in J&K

Srinagar, June 20 (IBNS): The security forces on Friday arrested a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) District Commander from a hideout in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district.
According to sources, the Kulgam Police, Army, CPRF personnel acted on a tip-off and cordoned off the Shampora village.
 
 During the search, they arrested self-styled  LeT Deputy Chief Naveed Jat, son of Mohammad Hanief Jat, resident of Sahiwala in Pakistan's Multan district.
 
A AK-47 riffle, two AK-47 Magazines, sixty AK-47 rounds and one Pouch  was recovered from his possession.
 
Naveed was self styled District Commander of LeT Outfit for Shopian district and close associate of LeT Chief Abu Qasim. 
 
He was operating from the area for the last two years and was involved in the killing of two policemen near the District Court complex, Pulwama and the recent
firing on a police party at Shopian in which five police personnel were injured.
