Thane/UNI: A local court has sentenced two labourers to three-year Rigorous Imprisonment(RI) besides a fine of Rs 7,000 each for molesting a minor girl in 2013.

The duo have been identified as Bunty alias Indrasen Thakare (33) and Ganesh Babu Mule (31), both of whom, are the residents of Ambadi village here.

In her submission to the District Court, the Additional Public Prosecutor(APP) Rekha Hiwrale told that duo offenders molested the victim, aged 16 then, when she went out to fetch milk.

After touching her inappropriately, they intimidated her not to disclose the immoral episode.

The girl narrated the incident to her mother who filed a case against the offenders at the Ganeshpuri police station, the APP said.

District Judge G P Shirsat observed that the prosecution has proved the charges against the accused beyond reasonable doubts.
