Major fire breaks out in Maharashtra's slum

A major fire broke out in a slum located in the Circus Ground area of Ambernath city in Thane district of Maharashtra on Monday.

There was no injuries or casualties reported so far.

The fire occurred at 9 am and it was due to an explosion of four cooking gas cylinders in the slum.

They were allegedly stored in the same house there.

According to fire bridge sources, five fire tenders are engaged in firefighting operations which is still underway

Local authorities also reached out as soon as the news of fire was received.
