Kolkata, Jun 14 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee on Friday said she wants "wayward' children in her party if they can perform.

While addressing a rally in North 24 Parganas, Banerjee asked her party men to collect bio datas of such people.

"I want my wayward boys to join and work for the party," she was quoted as saying by the media. "Make sure they work for the party," she told her party men.

Banerjee made the comment at a time when the state is witnessing protests by doctors in demand for their safety at work places.

The cease work resorted by the junior medics at the Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital (NRSMCH) since Tuesday over the assault on the two medics, fueled the state-wide agitation and beyond, began to rumble even in the ruling TMC as Municipal affirms minster Firhad Hakim's daughter Sabba Hakim in a post in her social media asked "Please question the government as in why the police officers posted in government hospitals do little to nothing to protect doctors?".

Firhad Hakim is considered a close confidante of Banerjee in the government as well in the party.

She was first among the TMC sympathizer to question the government stands on the striking medics.

Banerjee on Thursday while facing protest demonstrations and slogans by the junior medics at the SSKM Hospital warned that they would be evacuated from hostel or if necessary, ESMA envoke. This warning led the medics all over the State begin ceasework and hundred of them already served quit letters to the health authorities.
