Mamata govt completes three years in office tomorrow

Kolkata, May 19 (IBNS: With the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government gearing up to complete three years in the office on Tuesday, the Chief Minister thanked people for reposing their trust and confidence on them.

" On the momentous occasion of completion of three years in office tomorrow, we express our deep gratitude to “Maa, Maati, Manush” of Bengal for giving us their overwhelming mandate to serve them. History repeats itself," Banerjee said in a Facebook post.

"Once again, the people of Bengal have reposed their trust and confidence on us through their huge mandate in the recently-concluded Lok Sabha election. We bow our heads down with gratefulness," she said.

In the Lok Sabha polls,  Banerjee's Trinamool Congress (TMC) bagged 34 out of 42 seats. 

Banerjee said in order to mark the occasion the state’s highest civilian awards – Bangabibhusan and Bangabhusan' will be conferred to 33 individuals for outstanding contribution in respective fields on Tuesday.

" To mark the occasion tomorrow, Government of West Bengal will confer the State’s highest civilian awards – “Bangabibhusan” and “Bangabhusan” to 33 individuals for outstanding contribution in respective fields," she said.
