Mamata to join PM for Bangladesh trip?
Trinamool Congress secretary general and State's Education Minister Partha Chaterjee was quoted as saying to The Hindu: "We want a win-win situation for both India and Bangladesh. The presence of the Chief Minister will ensure that interest of West Bengal is not jeopardised."
Modi will pay a state visit to Bangladesh from June 6 and 7 at the invitation of his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina.
This visit, Prime Minister’s first to Bangladesh, reflects the importance attached by India to the bilateral relationship.
"The visit is expected to further expand the cordial and cooperative relationship between the two countries and strengthen the ties of friendship and trust between India and Bangladesh," the MEA said in a statement.
