Manmohan Singh conferred with Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament & Development 2017

New Delhi, Nov 19 (IBNS): Former Indian PM Manmohan Singh was conferred with the Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament & Development 2017 here on Monday.

The honour was conferred on the leader in the presence of ex-Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

The Congress party tweeted: "Former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh is honoured with the Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament & Development 2017 in the presence of UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi, former President of India Pranab Mukherjee, former Chief Justice T.S. Thakur & other leaders."

Manmohan Singh had served as the PM of India from 2004 to 2014.

Late Indian PM Indira Gandhi's birthday was observed on Monday.
