Marital status: Mayawati blasts Mulayam

| | May 01, 2014, at 04:50 pm
Lucknow, May 1 (IBNS) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has hit out at her arch rival and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for allegedly taking a dig at her marital status.

"Mulayam Singh is scared of his impending  defeat in Lok Sabha elections and hence he has lost his mental balance," said Mayawati.

"He should be admitted  to a mental asylum in Agra," the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said.

Pertinently, at an election rally at Faizabad district in the state, Mulayam allegedly taunted Mayawati over her marital status.

"Main use kunwari kahun, srimati kahun, ya behen kahun (What should I call her - Miss, Mrs or sister?)," Mulayam had said referring to Mayawati.

Meanwhile, Mayawati has complained to the Election Commission in this regard and requested the poll body to ban Mulayam from campaigning.
