New Delhi/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed the Ministry of External Affairs to brief floor leaders of political parties on the developments in Afghanistan, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said Monday.

He said that Prahlad Joshi, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, would inform the parties of the details.

“In view of developments in Afghanistan, PM @narendramodi has instructed that MEA brief Floor Leaders of political parties. Minister of Parliamentary Affairs @JoshiPralhad will be intimating further details,” he tweeted.

India has evacuated over 400 of its nationals so far from Afghanistan following the Taliban's takeover of the country on August 15.

Some members of the Afghan Sikh and Hindu minority have also been evacuated, and more are being brought to India.
