Mechuka, a secluded town in Arunachal Pradesh's Shiyomi district renowned for its tourism sector, high-speed 4G services have finally arrived, opening up new horizons for the region.

Airtel India successfully launched its 4G network, extending connectivity to Mechuka and neighboring villages, marking the third circle in the remote Shi-Yomi district to receive such services, reported The Hills Times.

This development comes after previous coverage expansions that included District Headquarters Tato and ADC Headquarters Monigong.

Pasang Dorjee Sona, the local MLA and speaker of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, expressed his delight and extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Mechuka and the entire Shi-Yomi district.

Sona conveyed gratitude to Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their unwavering commitment to bridging the digital divide and ensuring digital access reaches rural areas like Mechuka.

With the introduction of 4G connectivity, the residents of Mechuka will witness a significant boost in their capabilities, facilitating their active participation in the digital age.

The newfound access to high-speed internet opens up a world of possibilities for communication, business, education, and overall socioeconomic development.

This landmark launch of 4G services not only signifies progress but also exemplifies the government's dedication to narrowing the digital divide in Arunachal Pradesh.
