Metro rail services suspended after tremor of earthquake in Kolkata

Kolkata, May 12 (IBNS): Metro rail services in Kolkata were temporarily suspended due to tremor of earthquake on Tuesday.
All the trains were controlled at different stations both in Up and Down directions from Kavi Subhas to Noapara and in the reverse directions with effect from 12.48 PM on Tuesday.
 
Immediately, passengers were de-trained and they were made to go out through repeated announcements from Central Control Room Public Address System.
 
The services however restored after receiving section clearance and a thorough inspection by the Pilot Car, at 1.15 PM, according to a Metro Railway press release.
