Militant killed in Sopore encounter in Kashmir

Srinagar, June 17 (IBNS) In a fierce gun-battle with Security forces early on Friday, one militant was killed, officials said.
Another militant is  still engaged in firing on security forces, said reports.

Gunfight raged since early on Friday after forces receiving inputs about presence of a couple of militants in Bomai Sopore area of North Kashmir.

"As the security forces closed on the house, they came under heavy gunfire from hiding militants," an official said. 

Firing is still on in the area when last reports came
