Minister Sadhvi Niranjan given VIP security cover

New Delhi, Jan 7 (IBNS): Union minister of state for food processing industries Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti was given VIP security cover by commandos during her visits to her state and in the National Capital Region (NCR), media reports said.

Sources said that an old political rivalry in her constituency Fathepur was cited as reason for beefing up security of the minister.

A threat analysis of the Sadvi prompted central security agencies to recommend armed security cover for her. The Union home ministry decided to accord her the ‘Y’ level of security.

Reports said that minister of state for home affairs Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary will now have an upgraded security of ‘Z’ category. Now, he will be guarded by 35 para-military force personnel round-the-clock.
