Modi urges for creation of an ecosystem of innovators on Mann Ki Baat

New Delhi, July 31 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation through his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann Ki Baat' where he urged all for the creation of an ecosystem of innovators and encourage innovation.

"Let us aim to innovate...when I talk about innovation, I am talking about Atal Innovation Mission," PM Modi said.

He said, "There should be an ecosystem of innovators and encourage innovation, experiment, entrepreneurship."

Recalling the dreams of former President APJ Abdul Kalam, Modi said: "When we remember Dr. Kalam we think of science, technology... future is going to be technology driven, we need to embrace it."

In his radio address, Modi also spoke about health hazards associated with the rainy season.

He urged all to stay away from too much intake of antibiotics without proper doctor's prescription.

Modi also said that it is important to complete the full course of the antibiotics as told by doctors.

"We are concerned about health of pregnant women. In the last one decade, there is a decline in Maternal Mortality Rate but we are not able to save many pregnant women's lives," said he.

He informed that in the wake of such condition, the government has started Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA).

"Free check-up will be given in government health centres to pregnant women on ninth of every month," he added.
