Modi's monogrammed suit sold for Rs 4.31 crore

Surat, Feb 20 (IBNS): The much hyped suit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sold on Friday for Rs 4.31 crore in an auction on Friday.
The bid was won by Dharmanandan Diamonds Pvt. Ltd.
 
Earlier, a whopping bid of Rs. 2.95 crore was made by a Bhavnagar businessman.
 
The first bid for Rs. 51 lakh was put in by a Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) leader Rajubhai Agarwal. Later, Suresh Agrawal, a textile businessman, just doubled the offer.
 
The famous navy and gold suit was put on display at the Science Centre in the city. 
 
The three-day auction ended on Friday at 5 pm.
