Bhopal, Sept 18 (IBNS) The Madhya Pradesh High Court has cancelled the transfer of Vyapam scam whistleblower Anand Rai and his wife, reports said.

The court also ordered the Madhya Pradesh government to pay the salary dues to Rai and his wife.

The whistleblower had claimed that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had tried to influence him.

Rai claimed that  Chouhan had offered to cancel his transfer if he dropped cases related to Vyapam.

In an affidavit submitted before the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Rai said that Chouhan called him at his residence on August 11  and assured if he gives up his campaign to unearth the Vyapam scam, then he can be transferred back to Indore.

The High Court had asked the state government to reply on the affidavit.

Anand Rai and his wife  are employed with the state government. His wife is also a doctor.
