Mumbai: 20-year-old woman navy trainee commits suicide

A twenty-year-old woman, who was under training in the Navy for Agniveer, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself, an official said here on Tuesday.

Malvani Police Station has registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and is carrying out further investigations.

"The body has been taken into custody by the official and sent for postmortem to a government hospital while the woman's parents were informed," the official further said.

"We have not received any suicide note from the place of offense," the official said.

The victim was under training at INS Hamla at the time of the incident.
