Mumbai: Father arrested for raping minor for two years

Mumbai: Police arrested a father who had allegedly raped her 15-year-old daughter for two years, source said on Tuesday.

According to the police, during a communication session at an NGO, the victim girl narrated her ordeal after suffering silently for the past two years.

The teen alleged that her father repeatedly raped her for two years and even threatened her not to reveal the horrific crime.

The accused has been arrested under Section 354 (assault or criminal force against the woman) of the Indian Penal Code as well as Sections 8 (sexual assault), 10 (aggravated sexual assault), and 12 (sexual harassment) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
