Mumbai: Three labourers choke to death in septic tank

Palghar, May 3 (UNI) Three labourers choked to death while cleaning a septic tank in Nalla Sopara town here, police said here on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Sunil Chavria, Bika Bumbak and Pradeep Miasan.

The incident took place in the Anand View apartments in Nilemore locality on Thursday, said police.

Later, the firemen along with the personnel from the Disaster Management Cell recovered the bodies from the septic tank.

A case under the IPC section 304A (causing death by negligence) have been registered against eight primary accused, said police spokesperson Hemant Kumar Katkar.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and further investigation into the case is underway, added police.
