New Delhi, Jun 29(IBNS): A Delhi court on Friday sent Major Nikhil Handa to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with the murder of a fellow colleague’s wife, media reports said.

Handa was arrested by Delhi Police following the murder of Shailza Dwivedi, wife of Major Amit Dwivedi.

Shailza's body was found near Delhi Cantonment metro station with her throat slit last week.

Handa had allegedly ran his car over Shailza to make it look an accident.

According to police, after killing Shailza, Handa went to Meerut Cantonment. Before he got there, he threw the knife and changed his clothes, police said.

On Friday police recovered the knife from the roadside.
