New Delhi, Apr 2 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said he had received overwhelming response from people of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana while campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the states.

Modi said votebank politics and failed promises of the Opposition has repulsed India.

Modi tweeted: "My campaigns across Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been overwhelming. NDA’s solid track record and development agenda has connected with people. Votebank politics and failed promises of the Opposition has repulsed India. Here are highlights from yesterday."

Modi has been campaigning hard for his party across India for the past several months.

The first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha polls will be held on Apr 11.

This year, the polling will be held in seven phases.

The last phase of polling will take place on May 19.

Counting of votes will take place on May 23.

In 2014, Modi had led the BJP to win the Lok Sabha polls.
