Nagaland: DC Kiphire district warns village authorities

Kohima/IBNS: The Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire district in Nagaland has informed that some village authorities in Kiphire have issued prohibitory directives preventing the entry and exit of medical staff including the general public.

Rahul Mali – Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire district has warned that such unauthorized obstruction and violation of laid down government orders and infringement on individual rights and offence shall be take legal action under section 186 and 188 of the Indian penal code and Nagaland Epidemic Diseases Regulations 2020 and section 51 of the Disaster management Act 2005.

“Violating of this order, action shall be initiated against any village authorities obstructing the entry and exit of medical staff including the general public,” said in the order.

Some village authorities of Kiphire district have recently issued some directives to bar the entry and exit of medical staffs and general public in the villages.
