Narendra Modi meets Chinese President Xi Jinping, discusses bilateral, global issues

Beijing, June 9 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met Chinese President Xi Jinping and discussed issues related to  bilateral and global importance.

 

Modi said his talks with the President will add further  'vigour' to the India-China friendship.

"Met this year’s SCO host, President Xi Jinping this evening. We had detailed discussions on bilateral and global issues. Our talks will add further vigour to the India-China friendship," Modi tweeted.

Modi is currently visiting China to attend the Council of Heads of States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

The meeting took place at the sidelines of the event.

He arrived in the Asian nation on Saturday.
