Narendra Modi, Putin dedicate Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 to India

New Delhi/Moscow, Aug 10 (BNS): Joining a video conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday dedicated the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 to the nation.

Appreciating the bond between India and Russia, Modi said: "Kudankulam 1 also signals our joint commitment to build pathways of partnership for green growth."

"I have always deeply valued our friendship with Russia & it is fitting that we jointly dedicate Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1," he said.

Modi said Kundankulum 1 is an important addition to India's continuing efforts to scale up production of clean energy in the nation.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalaithaa also participated in the conference.
