Narendra Modi receives Russia's highest civilian award, dedicates it to 140 crores Indians

The Russian government has conferred Indian PM Narendra Modi with the country's highest civilian award.

Modi dedicated the award to the 140 crore Indian nationals.

He posted on X: "Honoured to receive the The Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle. I thank the Russian Government for conferring the award. "

"This award is dedicated to my fellow 140 crore Indians," he said.

Modi was one a two-day visit to Russia when he met the country's President Vladimir Putin.

After completing his Russian tour, he headed to Austria.

The iconic award was instituted 300 years ago.

Modi is the first Indian politician to be conferred with the award.

The award was bestowed on Modi in 2019.

However, he received it physically during his recent visit to Russia.
