Nazma Heptullah appointed Manipur Governor
New Delhi, Aug 17 (IBNS) : Former union Minister Najma Heptullah has been appointed the new Governor of Manipur, reports said.
The Manipur government was Wednesday officiallly informed about this appointment.
Her swearing-in is likely to take place shortly.
Heptullah, who had resigned from the Union Ministry in July after attaining 75 years of age, will be the 18th Governor of Manipur.
Manipur goes to polls in February next year.
