NEDA partners to have post poll alliance in Meghalaya, BJP offered 9-10 seats to IPFT in Tripura

Guwahati, Jan 19 (IBNS): Ahead of Meghalaya assembly polls, BJP-led North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convener and Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said that, BJP and other partners of NEDA have been agreed to fight the polls its own and to have a post poll alliance like Manipur.

The convener of NEDA said that, all the partners of NEDA will fight in Meghalaya assembly polls separately.

“We and other NEDA partners will fight separately in the polls and decided there will be Manipur like post poll alliance,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

Interacting with the media persons in Guwahati, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that, BJP and NEDA partners will form the next government in Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura also.

“I am confident that, BJP-led NEDA will capture all the states and North East will become Congress Mukt,” Sarma said.

The Assam minister said that, BJP and Indigenous Peoples' Front of Tripura (IPFT) have agreed to make pre-poll alliance in Tripura.

On the other hand, a top source said that, BJP has offered the tribal group of Tripura 9-10 seats during a crucial meeting held in Guwahati on Thursday night.
