NEET-UG row: Results show 85% of students from one Gujarat centre qualified

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the city-wise and centre-wise results for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 on its official website today.

Surprising statistics have emerged from the latest NEET results data.

The Rajkot centre, Unit School of Engineering, had the highest number of qualifying students, with a total of 22,701.

Strangely, at least 85 percent of these students passed the exam.

At the Rajkot centre, Unit School of Engineering, the NEET-UG 2024 results showed that 12 students scored more than 700 marks, 115 students scored more than 650, 259 students scored more than 600, and 403 students scored more than 550, reported India Today.

In comparison, the Vidya Bharati Sikar Centre (Centre No 392349) had 8 students scoring more than 700 marks, 69 students scoring more than 650, 155 students scoring more than 600, and 241 students scoring more than 500, according to the report.

Furthermore, 83 students from the Sikar test centre and 45 students from the Model School in Rohtak, Haryana, scored over 600 marks.

On Thursday, the Supreme Court directed the NTA to release the NEET UG results by July 20.

The NEET UG, held on May 5, had over 23.33 lakh students participating across 4,750 centres in 571 cities, including 14 international locations.
