New Delhi: Fire breaks out at Sardar Bazar

New Delhi, Oct 27 (UNI) A fire broke out in a plastic packing material and toys go-down in the famous wholesale market Sadar Bazar in Delhi on Sunday afternoon, Delhi Fire Services(DFS) said.

The call was received at around 1501 hours regarding the blaze and fire tenders were rushed to the spot, the fire official said.

'12 fire tenders were sent to the spot to fight the blaze' the DFS person further said.

There were no casualties reported in the incident so far.

The fire took place at the 4th floor's temporary structure of the said storage facility at the Qutub Road, Teliwara Sadar Bazar , local sources said.

It took around one hour to douse-off the blaze that came under control at around 1600 hours, they added.

However, the cause of fire was yet to be ascertained and would be known only post investigation.

Meanwhile, another fire incident took place at two sanitary hardware shops in the Jagatpuri area in East Delhi where seven tenders were rushed to fight the blaze.

The fire was brought under control within one and a half hours after it was reported around 1452 hours , DFS stated.

No casualties have been reported in the incident so far and the exact cause of fire was yet to be known, they added.
