New Delhi: Police rescue 6 Africans targeted over child kidnapping rumour

New Delhi, Nov 23 (IBNS): Police have rescued six African nationals after they were targeted  amid rumours of being involved in child kidnapping and cannibalism on Friday, media reports said.

According to reports, four Tanzanian ladies and two Nigerians were attacked in New Delhi over rumours that they were cannibals.

"The shocking incident took place at different locations in Dwarka after rumours went viral that the African nationals were kidnapping children and they were a man-eater," reported DNA news paper.

The police rescued the Africans and an investigation revealed that they were not involved in the such activity.

The women victims have been identified as Assifa, Riziki, Fatima and Esta Joshva, reported DNA.
