New Delhi: Wanted criminal arrested after shootout in Dwarka

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) A close associate of Kapil Sangwan, alias Nandu, was arrested after a brief exchange of fire with Special Cell of Delhi Police here on Monday morning.

According to police, the shootout took place in Dwarka, where Kuldeep Rathi, a close associate of Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu wanted in several cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion, kidnapping was apprehended.

During the cross firing that ensued after the criminal opened fire at the police team, the criminal received a bullet injury in his leg following which he was rushed to the hospital.

Further investigation is underway, police said.
