NIA arrests two more accused in Pulwama terror attack case

New Delhi/UNI: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested two more accused Tariq Ahmed Shah and his daughter Insha Jan for providing food, shelter and other logistics to the Pakistani terrorists who executed the ghastly attack on CRPF convoy on Feb 14 last year at Pulwama, killing 40 jawans.

According to NIA, accused Tariq Ahamad Shah, a tipper driver, and his daughter Insha Jan are residents of Village Hakripora, Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a major breakthrough, the federal terror probe agency on Feb 28, arrested Shakir Bashir Magrey, a furniture shop owner at Pulwama who provided shelters and other logistics to the suicide bomber Adil Ahnad Dar.

“During initial interrogation, accused Tariq Ahmed Shah has disclosed that his house at Hakripora, Pulwama was used by Adil Ahmed Dar, Mohd Umar Farooq, a Pakistani terrorist and IED maker Kamran another Pakistani terrorist, Sameer Ahmed Dar, a Jaish-e-Mohd terrorist from Pulwama and Mohd Ismail alias Ibrahim, a Pakistani terrorist”, the probe agency official said.

He also facilitated all the terrorists at his house for sheltering and planning of the heinous attack on the CRPF convoy.

His house was also used by the above mentioned terrorists for preparing and recording of video of suicide bomber Adil Ahmed Dar, which was released by Jaish-e-Mohammad soon after the Pulwama attack, the officials added.

Terrorists Umar Farooq and Kamran were later killed in encounters with security forces.

The another accused Insha Jan, 23 years old, facilitated the terrorists at their home and provided food and other logistics during their stay on more than 15 occasions during their stay at her home during 2018- 19.

The probe agency further said that the initial interrogation has revealed that  Insha Jan was in constant touch with Mohd Umar Farooq, Pakistani IED maker and was in communication with him over the telephone and other social media applications.
