Nikhil Kamath confirms Elon Musk appearance on his podcast; internet first thought it was AI

Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath has confirmed what many initially assumed was AI trickery. Elon Musk will appear on an upcoming episode of Kamath’s hit podcast ‘WTF is with Nikhil Kamath’.

A short monochrome teaser posted on X showed Kamath and the Tesla billionaire sitting across from each other before bursting into laughter. The laughs sent the Internet into a frenzy.

Kamath kept the announcement minimal (and intentionally cryptic), captioning the teaser, “Caption this.” And the internet did so with full force.

Viewers flooded the comment section in delighted confusion. “Everyone’s thinking it’s AI,” one user joked. “Is it AI?” another bluntly asked. Some responded with pop-culture humour. “We got Elon Musk and Nikhil’s podcast before GTA VI,” another comment read.

Others applauded Kamath’s rising influence in the global tech scene. “Dude, your podcast is one of the most influential globally,” a user commented. Another comment predicted, “The internet is going to break.”

A particularly cheeky line summed up the excitement, “At this pace, even God may soon get a request from Nikhil Kamath’s team.”

Kamath’s podcast continues its streak of high-profile conversations, having already hosted major names such as Bill Gates, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Nandan Nilekani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Ranbir Kapoor, Vinod Khosla and Aravind Srinivas.

Its most prominent guest so far has been Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who appeared in an episode released on January 10.

The conversation covered India’s tech ambitions, leadership and personal reflections from the PM.

With Musk now confirmed as a guest, WTF seems set to notch its biggest episode yet, and fans are bracing for whatever unpredictable energy that pairing brings.
