No clear forecast for the formation of a new government in Karnataka

| @indiablooms | Jul 25, 2019, at 05:34 pm

Bengaluru, July 25 (IBNS): No signs of a BJP government in Karnataka even after the fall of Kumaraswami government.

Hectic parleys are on between the state BJP leaders along with the central leadership in New Delhi. BJP chief Amit Shah along with the party working president J.P. Nadda are constantly meeting the party delegations from Bengaluru.

The saffron outfit is apparently waiting for the green signal from the RSS.

The decision of the Speaker over the issue of rebel lawmakers is also vital for the formation of a new government. If the Speaker decides to disqualify the rebels for defying their parties, they cannot get ministries in the new BJP government as they have to contest again. If their resignations are accepted, they can be rewarded with ministries.

The current strength of the 224 member Assembly is 210 with 105 being the magic number. BJP is sitting pretty with 107.
