| @indiablooms | Nov 12, 2019, at 03:03 pm

Mumbai/IBNS: The Raj Bhavan has stated no recommendation for the presidential rule in Maharashtra was made by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, media reports said.

The speculation gained momentum with Prasar Bharati News Services' tweet which had said such a recommendation was made by Koshyari.

However, later the tweet was corrected citing source news.

Prasar Bharati News Services tweeted, "Sources: Maharashtra Governor recommends President's rule in the state."

Also Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik stated no such recommendation was made by the Governor.

Three Congress leaders- Ahmed Patel, Mallikarjun Kharge and K C Venugopal- are on their way to Mumbai to hold talks with NCP chief Sharad Pawar whose party has been given deadline by 8:30 pm to stake claim to form the next state government.

Malik said, "We will wait till the Congress leaders come. We need the Congress to form the government."
