One CRPF, two terrorists killed in Jammu and Kashmir encounter

One CRPF jawan died and two terrorists were killed during an encounter with Indian security forces in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

The CRPF personnel was identified as  Kabir Dass.

"One CRPF personnel namely CT/GD Kabir Dass No.115062756 of 121 Bn CRPF S/O Shiv Charan who suffered bullet injuries last night later succumbed to his injuries during treatment at SDH Hiranagar," Zonal Police Medica Centre Jammu said in an X post.

According to reports, a huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the terrorists.

Operation is still underway.

Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a rise in terror activities in recent days.

Raesi terror attack

Nine terrorists attacked a bus ferrying pilgrims in Reasi district recently following which the vehicle plunged into a gorge.

At least 10 pilgrims died and 33 others were injured in the incident.
