One Indian army jawan killed in encounter

Kupwara, Aug 30 (IBNS): One Indian Army soldier was killed in an encounter with militants in Kupwara district of north Kashmir on Saturday, reports said. Sources said that around 2-3 militants were believed to be fighting in the encounter.

At least four militants and one soldier had been killed in a similar encounter last week near the Kalaroos forest area in Kupwara district.
