One Militant killed, two jawans injured in Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Oct 21 (IBNS) One militant was killed and two jawans were injured on Wednesday in an encounter in Kunzer area of Tangmarg, in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, reports said.

The encounter is still going on.

The  encounter began during a search operation conducted jointly by the army and Jammu and Kashmir Police following a  tip off about presence of militants in the area. The gun battle  started when the militants were challenged.
