OROP issue: Ex-serviceman commits suicide in Haryana
Bhiwani, Haryana, Nov 2 (IBNS): A retired serviceman allegedly killed himself in Haryana after he was denied permission to meet Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, media reports said.
Identified as Subedar Ram Kishen Grewal, the ex-army man wanted to meet Parrikar regarding the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme and place a complaint.
The deceased committed suicide by consuming poison in his village in Haryana's Bhiwani district.
He also left a suicide note, where he slammed the BJP government, reports added.
