Over 20 people dead and many injured in fire at Senegal religious festival
Dakar, Apr 14 (IBNS): Twenty two people were burnt to death and 87 others injured when fire engulfed a religious festival site in Senegal, media reports said on Friday.
According to media reports, the fire started late on Wednesday and continued through Thursday, which also led to destruction of buildings and death of cattle and sheep.
Wednesday was the fifth day of the nine-day festival called Daaka, an Islamic retreat, which takes place in a village in eastern Senegal.
