Pakistan: Jamaat-ud-Dawa renames itself as Tehreek Azadi Jammu and Kashmir

New Delhi, Feb 4 (IBNS): After Hafiz Saeed was put under house arrest by the Pakistani administration, his party Jamaat-ud-Dawa has renamed itself as ‘Tehreek Azadi Jammu and Kashmir’, according to media reports.

Reportedly, Saeed had planned the move before the Pakistani government had initiated the clampdown on the party.

The party plans to hold programmes on Sunday under its new name, according to media reports.

Feb 5 is observed as Kashmir Day in Pakistan.
