Pakistan violates ceasefire again, resorts to unprovoked firing in J&K

Jammu, Aug 14 (IBNS): Pakistani forces has once again resorted to violate the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) with unprovoked firing on Indian posts in the Poonch district of Jammu region early on Sunday morning.

According to reports, Pakistan army initially used Light Machine Guns (LMGs), but then shifted to medium machine guns and also mortar-shelling.

Indian forces have also retaliated to the firing.

Reports said that firing is still on in the area.

No casualties have been reported so far.

This comes just a day after at least 11 people were injured in a grenade attack in a market in Poonch district.

The security concern in the region has increased more so ahead of the Independence Day.
