Panic as Maoists announce ‘death sentence’ for six villagers in Bihar

Patna, Feb 9 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): Alleged Maoists in Bihar have announced death sentence for six persons, accusing them of being police informers and being involved in corrupt practices.

The rebels made the announcement on Wednesday night by pasting hand-written pamphlets at various places in Bangalwa village which falls under Ladaiyatand police station in Munger district.


Through the pamphlets, the Maoists have announced to serve death punishment to Mohammad Shamsher, Madari Sao, Sanjay Yadav, Jaiprakash Yadav, Mohamamd Abbas and Mohammad Aurangzeb.

The police have seized the pamphlets and begun investigation into the matter.

Police, however, believe this could be the mischief of some anti-social elements. Yet they have taken the matter very seriously given the fact the entire area is badly infested with naxal activities.
