Personal income tax limit raised to Rs 2.5 lakh
New Delhi, July 10 (IBNS) The personal income tax exemption limit has been raised by Rs 50,000 at Rs 2.5 lakh, announced Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in his budget speech for 2014-15 on Thursday.
The same for senior citizens (above 60 years) has been raised to Rs 3 lakh.
Jaitley said there will be changes in direct taxes.
