PM Modi attends election strategy session ahead of upcoming state elections
New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is participating in a daylong election strategy session on Sunday, said reports.
Assembly elections are due in five states of West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry.
Among these, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is eyeing to win the Bengal polls and hence is conducting fierce campaigning in the eastern state.
PM Modi himself has made several visits to the state already and is scheduled to visit Assam and West Bengal again on Monday.
In Assam, the BJP is making an attempt to get a second term in power.
Sunday's meeting will also be attended by party chief JP Nadda, and its state unit chiefs and in-charges.
Modi will also visit Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry for mega rallies, multi-media campaigns and a spate of inaugurations.
The Election Commission is expected to announce the poll dates for the five states early next month.
