PM Modi, Australian PM Anthony Albanese hold bilateral talks at Hyderabad House

New Delhi/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday received visiting Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for bilateral talks at Hyderabad House here.

Earlier, PM Modi welcomed the Australian PM for a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The Australian Prime Minister, who is on a four-day state visit, also laid a wreath at the Rajghat.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also called on him.

MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said in tweets: “PM @narendramodi receives PM @AlboMP of Australia for a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan on PM Albanese’s first State Visit to India.

“An opportunity to propel the dynamic India-Australia relationship to newer heights.”

Earlier, the Australian Prime Minister arrived in the Indian capital from Mumbai last night.
